What about the weather?

Today I added the weather forecast to the blog (see right) because the weather has a huge impact on Glen Ivy. Here at the Hot Springs, most of the spa is outside, spread across 11 lush acres – it’s gorgeous – and so you can imagine that when most guests plan a trip here, they’re thinking of how wonderful it will be to spend the day lounging and relaxing outside by the pools. And you can’t blame them because really, “Nature’s Day Spa” is all about nature and the beauty and wonderment of the great outdoors.

So, there it is, right on the sidebar: the almighty weather forecast. That which determines our fate. Now you can see the weather we’re experiencing here and you’ll know that if it’s sunny and mild, chances are that we’re busy tending to lots of happy guests.

On the other hand, we’ve overheard guests say that they specifically come in the cold season because they like feeling they have the spa to themselves – it’s a whole different experience and much more intimate. I can agree with that. I was here last December for my birthday and while it was a bit chilly it definitely added to the serenity and tranquility of the spa to have fewer people around.

Also keep in mind that we’re always thinking of new ways to make our guests comfortable including our Tiempo Lounge – a cozy place for guests to gather, relax and stay warm indoors. As well, Glen Ivy Spas in the Brea Mall and Valencia Town Center bring the “spa in the garden” experience all indoors, offering the convenience of a close-by day spa while maintaining the natural ambience of the Hot Springs Spa.

“Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.” ~John Ruskin

Have a story about your experience with “different kinds of good weather” at Glen Ivy? I’d love to hear it!

  1. I think one of the most amazing things about Glen Ivy is how we really do feel seculded up there on the hill. Gusts of wind could be blowing all over Corona but it's still calm and beautiful at the hot springs. I remember one day when gray gloominess covered the entire city, but when I drove up to the spa the clouds were parted, allowing sunshine to pour in on our charming place.
