Chule Day at Glen Ivy

Every year on April 3rd, all of us at Glen Ivy celebrate "Chule Day" in honor of our long-time guests and friends, Dimitri & Vera Chule, whose lives truly exemplify the spirits of gratitude and generosity.

On this Chule Day, Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa will celebrate the occasion by collecting food to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank in Riverside. Guests that bring a food donation on April 3, 2009, will receive $10 off spa admission for the day. As well, Glen Ivy will donate $5 from each admission to help those in need.

All food donations must be non-perishable food items that are commercially canned or packaged. Some suggestions are soups, stews, fruits, vegetables, tuna, sauces, and boxed meals like pasta, rice, and macaroni & cheese.

Acts of kindness and generosity can be shown in many ways whether it be donating canned food items, volunteering your time, showing forgiveness or saying hi to a stranger. Your attitude and positive energy can make a difference in someone's life - show someone you care on this special day!

We hope that you will join us in the celebration of the Chule family this Friday and if you have a story of unexpected kindness, please share it with us! We would love to hear from you!
